Prudential Committee Candidates
Sean Lydon and Peter Traub are both running for the prudential committee position. As requested here are short bios on each candidate. If you are interested in running and would like to have a bio included please let us know.
Sean and Louise Lydon live on Lanesboro Road, just a stone’s throw from where his family has had a home by the lake for almost 60 years. Sean took swimming and lifesaving lessons on Horn’s Beach . . so that he could learn to waterski. You will still see him out there learning on warm evenings. Louise loves the outdoor activities offered by the lake, the trail, and the mountains too. More recently Sean helped organize efforts of the Advisory Committee to implement a member survey, modernize HLD budgeting practices, and apply for a state grant to address lake level management, a key concern for lake residents. Awards for this grant, which would also assist with weed control, are expected to be announced by July.
Sincerely,
Sean
I would like to run for a position on the HLD Prudential Committee.
I believe I am qualified for the position because,
I have lived on the lake for 15 years.
I enjoy using our kayaks and pontoon boat and swimming in the lake.
I have been on the Prudential Committee for more than 5 years.
I have been Treasurer of the Prudential Committee for over 10 years.
I have been Chair of the Prudential Committee for a year.
I am on the Cheshire Planning Board and an alternate on the Open Space & Recreation Committee.
